Deer Tick = Band of Horses
Deer ticks are gross, but this band is not. They are actually quite the opposite. They have an album titled “War Elephant” that I am falling in love with. Reminiscent of Band of Horses, Deer Tick is definitely another solid indie-folk band in my books. Really, really good folk music.

The Old Canes Has a New Album!
I did a post on the Old Canes a couple of weeks ago not realizing that they were coming out with a new album! How could I be such a fool? I know it sounds crazy, but I have found the band that is a nearly perfect mix of the these two bands.

The Spinto Band
I don’t know how I stumbled across this band, but they are HECKA SICK. A little more upbeat then what I usually listen to, but pretty standard indie pop music nonetheless. I’m a sucker for folk music, there’s no denying it. I’ll confess now that there’s this acoustic folk musical genius, known as Kristian Matsson (His band name is The Tallest Man On Earth), who has stolen my heart. His unique voice and crazy guitar and banjo skills leave me speechless as I listen ever so intently.

Great Lake Swimmers has an Excellent Album
They have a self-titled album that I’m really diggin right now. Wonderful vocals backed by a smooth acoustic guitar makes for a perfect indie folk album, and there’s nothing like good indie folk music. I’m seriously about to pop in the ear buds and go study to this music. Get on it, friends.

I enjoy myself some good indie-pop music from time to time, and right now is one of those times..
I’m listening to an album by a band called fun. titled “Aim and Ignite.”
If you like the Format (I personally do) you’ll for sure like this band, mostly because the main guy from the Format is the main guy in fun. as well.
Seriously this is a sweet album, get it.

Anberlin came out with a new single TODAY titled “true faith.” i’ve downloaded it and i’m listening to it now.
